SOA Reference Model to become an OASIS Standard
Steve ‘SOA’ Jones has blogged about the SOA Reference Model becoming an OASIS Standard. This, in my opinion, can only be a good thing as there are a lot of snake oil sales men out there trying to pass off their technology (and it is invariably failed EAI technology) as SOA. It is about time that SOA became known as a business solution and business focused rather than just a random set of technologies. Often companies labour under the misunderstanding that if they implement a set of technologies that they are doing SOA - this is not true.
